Is the herbal medicine Echinacea ok for a pregnant woman?
Mike asked: My wife is 3 months pregnant and has gotten a bad cold. She has a sore throat and I have been giving her Echinacea, which is an herbal medicine that is made of flower root. It’s available over the counter at pharmacies. But I checked the label and it says it contains a tiny bit of alcohol — ethanol to be exact. Is this dangerous to the unborn child?
