It seems "Crackdown" isn't just the name of a popular Xbox 360 game but it's what MS is doing to people who have tampered with their gamesaves to earn a higher gamerscores and get more achievements. It goes something like this…you see a post on a message board from somebody who is offering to play "Halo 3" for you so that your gamerscore goes up. All you have to do is send him your account info, so he can sign in as you, and paypal him $40. Well, that's against Xbox Live's terms of use and can get you banned, your account canceled or, in the case of what happened today, can result in the deletion of all of your achievements, set your gamerscore back to ZERO, and make it obvious to other users that you're a cheater (as the graphic above shows). So, what if you live in a dorm and there is one Xbox 360 where four of you sign in. Don't worry. It's not so much lots of accounts on the same 360 as it is your account on several 360s. Add into that the wizbang technology that MS uses to determine if you're earning stuff a little too quickly and/or tampering with saved game files to undermine the system and you're toast! On the one hand, I'm of the philosophy, "so what?". It's none of MS's business what I do with my account. On the other hand, fair play makes games more fun. If you're planning on getting anything done this May, you might want to reconsider or get it done early, as Rockstar is claimingGrand Theft Auto IV, which will be released on April 29, will take you 100 hours to complete.
Now, keep in mind, this is coming from Rockstar, so it's more than likely the 100 hour mark is a bit exaggerated. Plus, Rockstar is talkingcompletionhere. That's 100% of the game…something I have never accomplished in aGTAtitle, as it simply gets too tedious for my attention span…which is why I'm someone who doesn't find the 100 hour claim as a positive. To me, there's simply a point where a single game (offline) is just too much of the same thing.

If the projections are correct (and note the projects are for the US and Europe, only) then you'll bring up those totals to abouut 24 million Xbox 360s and 18.5 million PS3s. The point here is that both are selling very well. The "console war" is a myth. Gamers will eventually have all three systems. 25 February 2008 - United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) educational projects in nine countries around the world stand to benefit after the UN agency received nearly $4 million in proceeds from the pre-Christmas sale of soft toys at outlets of the Swedish retail chain IKEA.

I'm a rational and informed cable news junkie. It's for that reason that I know where to place Fox "News" on the continuum of accuracy (low) and sensationalism (high), but sometimes it still shocks me just how stupid they are. Case in point, the video above. Every time I hear arguments such as those given all I can think about is how appalling it is for a certain mindset to hear "full digital nudity" and fear for civilization. It always comes down to the person's own internal fears and desires, as Allison so aptly explained For the record,Mass Effectis a wonderful and emotional game. The "sex" scene is PG-13 and is nothing that isn't on TV. You don't control the sex scene, it is a movie that plays (a cutscene). If you don't interact with your fellow characters, you won't get the cutscene. Finally, the only character you control the look/gender of is the main character, aka, you. The other characters are what they are. There is no virtual boob enhancement. Honestly, I don't have any problem with people criticizing video games. Just get the facts straight or you'll end up sounding like an idiot. I guess you get used to that after a while, though. Read the PS - If I was EA, I'd sue for slander. You gotta hit corporations like Fox "News" where it hurts…in the pocket book. Capcom'sDevil May Cry 4is set to hit retail shelves on February 5, but you can get a taste for it now via download on Xbox Live. While theDevil May Cryseries just isn't my cup of tea, I understand that it is a much-loved game. The demo allows you to play through two different scenarios: a 10 minute time trial (which I played) and some other challenge which has you fight enemies….crazy, I know.
